Fermented Honey Garlic

Rich in allicin and antioxidants to fight infections, strengthen immunity, and makes for a natural medicine to have on hand during cold. flu, and allergy season. 

Yields: 16 tablespoons

Total Time:  Up to 6 days for fermentation (20 minute prep time, 30 days for fermentation)

Ingredients:

1 cup raw garlic

1 cup raw honey

Method:

Place peeled garlic cloves in a small mason jar and cover with honey. Loosely screw on the lid and leave to store in a dark place. 

After 1-2 weeks, bubbles will form, signaling fermentation. Continue flipping the jar every few days. After 3-4 weeks, the garlic should be soft and tangy.

Refrigerate to preserve, and use the garlic and honey in recipes, or as a natural remedy to boost immunity by the spoonful!
